Pienza is a small town in the heart of Tuscany, near Siena. For its undeniable beauty of art and history, in 1996 UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site is located in the beautiful and green Val d'Orcia, a few kilometers from the centers of San Quirico d'Orcia and Castiglione. There are many reasons why it is worth visiting Pienza: its history, monuments and gastronomy. Pienza begins its development from the Fifteenth Century, by Pope Pius II who was born there.
