In countries mining Capoliveri, Rio and Rio Elba Marina Park offers four museums Mining minerals, archaeology and art mining, as well as the possibility to visit, accompanied by guides Park, opencast mines of Rio and Rio Marina Albano, the suggestion to discover underground tunnel Ginevro Capoliveri, to retrace thousands of years of history between miners and farmers in the Valley of the Mills Rio Elba. Our guests can enjoy teaching activities such as research and the study of minerals in the yard Basin and new laboratory Environmental Education.
The splendid outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of 600 seats and a 'charming sea views , which is meeting place for multimedia performances, lectures and screenings. In the palace Burò Finally, the archive is housed historic mining island, maps and valuable documents that provide insight to a scholar of mining history from the middle eight hundred today. The structures of the park are open from March to October, while in winter visits are possible only for organized groups.
The museum houses a major collection of minerals Elban with numerous samples of exceptional beauty inserted in an environment which recreates l ' locksmiths workshop with tools and original materials found in abandoned yards extraction. Suggestive
reconstruction of some quarters of the original mine in Rio (including a gallery with digging tools), mark a path through a representative collection of geo-mineralogical heritage of the Island of Elba. Interesting photos and vintage movies to understand the mining industry and its history closed in 1985.

The exhibition includes a photographic documentation on the old mines of Rio and Capoliveri and sculptures that use the old tools of mine. The museum is located in the Palazzo del Burò old in the centre of Rio Marina.
